A short explanation on VPN that goes with the Hack1ng blog post about how to avoid the 6 strike scheme
Since major ISPs such as Comcast, Verizon, and AT&T are now carefully tracking your torrents to try to stop piracy, a virtual private network (VPN) is a way to avoid the tracking. Normally, your computer's IP Address is sent to all the servers it has contact with so it is identifiable. VPN adds a server in between this, so many computers connect to their destination with the same IP Address and masks your ISP, so your real ISP cannot track you since you are unidentifiable. However, it is very important to use a VPN service that does not store logs of your data, or else they may be forced to give the major ISPs your web usage and then they will be able to find out what you have been doing.
